Come taste our «woody» pork at Arendalsuka!

The drought this summer underpins the importance of developing alternative feed ingredients that are less vulnerable to climate changes and to increase feed efficiency. Foods of Norway will address the possibilities that lies ahead at Arendalsuka.

Arendalsuka is the largest political gathering in Norway. During one week (13th-18th of August) hundreds of events will be hosted in the southern city of Arendal by organisations, businesses, political parties and others from all over Norway.

On August 15th, Foods of Norway will participate in an event about innovative efforts and optimism in the Norwegian forest industry.

Centre director Margareth Øverland will be talking about how the feed industry can become a new cornerstone for the forest sector.

A taste of innovation

After the seminar, participants will get the opportunity to taste pork from our pigs raised on a yeast-diet based on Norwegian timber.

The event is hosted by the Norwegian Forest Owners`Federation and the regional forestry organisations AT Skog and Viken Skog – the latter being one of our industrial partners.

The event will be held in Norwegian.
