PhD position in monogastric animal nutrition

The position is funded by the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and is primarily associated with Foods of Norway.

The PhD candidate will work on developing novel feed resources and documenting the effect of these on technological feed quality, growth performance and health of monogastric farm animals, including salmonids:

  • Develop novel feed ingredients and upgrade the nutritional value of existing feed ingredients.
  • Formulate diets and participate in feed production.
  • Design and conduct experiments to assess the impact of novel/functional feeds in monogastric animals (e.g. pigs, broiler chickens or salmonids) on growth performance and health.
  • Processing and statistical analysis of data.

The PhD position is offered for 3 years. The candidate will be based at NMBU, Campus Ås.
